Oh no not again

Here is a layout that I have just recently done for the scraplounge for there technique challenge layout. I loved how this layout has turned out. I was given in a lucky door price the tag and the butterflies plus the material. So when I got the authentique range of paper I thought it went perfectly. I really enjoyed doing it.
I found the photo to be hilarious. My poor son, he did ask me to take some photos, but then I must go a little to far in the type of photos I wanted so he got sick of that really quickly and decided he had had enough.

Purple Pumpkin sketch layout

Here is my Purple Pumpkin sketch I had loads of fun doing this one, I kept it simple but have been really wanting to get this photo scraped for ages, so I had the perfect paper, and the perfect sketch.
The photo is of my son's 5th Birthday party. We had a jumping castle out the front yard, we had a great day.
I am just loving using Purple Pumpkins embellishments, they just seem to finish a layout off.

SLURPIES LAYOUT

I am usually not a fan of bright, bright colours on layouts, I find them sometimes hard to work with, but this range echo park, I love it. It seems to come together really nicely. I am also loving purple pumpkin embellishments at first when I saw purple pumpkin I thought they are to bright, but after been given some to have a play with, I feel in love with them, they are great for those papers that you don't seem to have any embellishments that go, or you don't like the embellishments that go with the paper range, and I was amazed how many times I use purple pumpkin embellishments on my layouts. My addiction may send me broke the way I am going. Gotto love scrapbooking.

Kraft it up Sketch challenge

Well WOW was this an interesting challenge, Kraft it up site has a challenge where you are not allowed to use pattern paper. ARGHHHHHhh at first I thought no way I am not doing that, but then I started thinking how i have been really keen to use materials on my layouts, so I took a plunge, I have used that muslin wrap material I really enjoyed this layout, and it was easier then I had thought. Thanks Kraft it up for making me think out of the box.

Purple Pumpkin Sketch

On the weekend I went to a scrapbooking retreat, I just love going on scrapbooking camps, it is so nice to get a weekend of scrapping, I was really happy with all the layouts I got done, this is one of them and it is using Purple pumpkin, it is the sketch on Purple Pumpking site, loved it. Some sketches are better then others and this has to be one of my favourite sketches that I have done. keep an eye out, I have loads more layouts to put up. I have been a bit slack doing things on my blog, I have just been so busy, and done alot of scrapping.

Mothers Day Scrapping Storm

Well I always have a bit of a break down when it comes around to Mothers Day and my mum's birthday, what do you give someone that has everything. This year I wanted to do a bit of a handmade theme, but silly me leaves things to the last minute. I kept thinking that is ok, i have tomorrow, but things seem to keep popping up and before I know it it is the night before. My middle son Jordy had been invited to a birthday party, so here I walk in after taking him to his best friends birthday party at 7.00pm at night, and think Oh my goodness. I was so exhausted from the day, so I did some of the clock, and did the card Mothers Day morning. So take a sticky of what I came up with at the last minute
My Mothers Day card, I don't think I am a great card maker. Some people do the most fantastic cards, but I must admit I was really proud of myself to whip this one up. I love these Forever Friends bears. They are my favourite cards, so when I saw that you can buy stuff to make your own I was so excited

This is my clock that I made for my mum, loved this Kaiser paper range, the colours are just so pretty. I had to keep it simple because I left it to the last minute. I would have liked to put some rub ons with quotes but I didn't have any in my stash. (Don't you hate that!!!)

Well, I am glad that thought process is over for another year, my Mum's birthday is in September so I better get thinking what to give her for then. This time if I was going to make something I won't leave it to the last minute, well I would try not to....

My Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Well, what a huge undertaking this has been. I have been hanging out for the Kaisercraft Design team call for months now. When they did release the call I was a little overwhelmed with the process of applying. Wow 8 layouts and an off the page.. At first I was a bit mmm should I do this, then thought, I am a little obsessed with Kaiser, and I already had a few of my most favourite layouts that were Kaisercraft, so I had nothing to lose. Also I have nearly every Kaiser paper in my stash. Love it and can't get enough. Hence why I am applying for the Design team. So to view more Kaisercraft products click here

Off the Page

Here is my off the page project for Kaisercraft Design Team. I have used the Kaisercraft Rec Personal album, I really loved the size of this album, and perfect for those mini prints . The paper range that I have used is the Magic Happens It has to be one of my top 10 ranges in scrapbooking. So beautiful. Loved it and have used it on so many layouts. Love the blossom flowers that match in with the papers. What can I say, I love it, love it, love it!!

This albums comes with 8 pages, and one hole, that I tied ribbon through it. My little book is really bulky because I have added all the blossom flowers, but I love bulk on my off the page items and layouts. This album I did on my son. I wanted it to be really special, and just a little keep sake for me of the day I spent with him when he was first born.

For more Kaisercraft off the page ideas, or to see what items they have available click Kaisercraft I think they have the best off the page in the industry. Such a massive selection, so easy to use, and so much fun.

My Layouts

Here is my 9 layouts that I have done for the Kaisercraft Design Team. Kaisercraft asked for 8 layouts, but I have done so many layouts with Kaiser I added another one. Most of these are my most favourite layouts, and I don't think I do to bad using 'girly' papers when I have all boys in my family.

My first layout titled 'angel' I have used the English Rose Paper range from Kaisercraft. Such a beautiful paper range. I have also used the Kaisercraft bling flourish, and the English Rose tags where my title sits. This paper range has a bit of an antique look to it, and the lovely maroon colouring. I love how Kaisercraft have flower patterns on their papers as I like to cut them out and use them as embellishments and add a bit of depth to a layout. Every time I am in a photos I take every opportunity to scrap with 'girly' papers. I really love this layout, and one of my favourites.

Layout number 2. This is a photo of my HUGE massive belly to my fourth son. this paper range is one of Kaisercraft older ranges. I have had it sitting far ages in my stash, but loved using it, especially with the Kaisercraft wooden cherish word. I have hand made all the flowers from left over scrap paper and made my butterfly with lace, and left over scrap paper also. I have also used a dolley.

Here is my two layouts that I have used the Magic Happens paper range. This paper range is just stunning. The thing that I found hard was that I had to buy lots of it as I loved both sides of the paper so much I couldn't decide which one to use. Ohhh and the Kasiercraft dolleys, LOVE THEM. I must confess, I loved everything about this range, all the papers, all the embellishments, butterfly, matching dolleys, the matching blossoms. Loved it.

For my next layout I have used the Kaisercraft Chanteuse paper range, how beautiful is this paper??? Once again I love the flower print on the paper so that it can be cut out for an embellishment, also I love the embellishments, the posie embellishment pack was really different. I have never worked with embellishments like this before, I loved it. I curled some of my posie's to give it a bit of a different look, loved the colours in the paper range also. pink is one of my favourite colours.

On this layout I have use the Utopia paper range. I was a bit nervous at first using this paper range with my son, it has purples and flowers, not that I am afraid to use flowers on a boy layout, I was just not sure how much purple I could use on a layout without making it to feminine. Once I sat down and started organising my papers, I realise this paper range was fantastic for boys, as it had the bright blue and greens. I thought with the towel having a bit of purple in it this paper range was fantastic to use with this paper. I had heaps of fun using this paper range, I also used the Kaisercraft stamps for flourishes, and some of the Kaisercraft rub ons.

This next layout I have used the Kaisercraft Nan's favourites paper range. This paper is just so usable, the colours are really versatile. Not alot of papers can go with my son's sport uniform, which he is in the kitchen cooking. He had to do a school speech and slide show presentation on a recipe, so we took heaps of photos for the slide show, but I was excited as I had heaps of photos to use on a cooking layout. So as soon as I saw this paper range I raced out and bought it so I could scrap these photos. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that I didn't get the embellishments I would have really liked to use some of them on this layout. I am thinking about getting more of this paper, I want to do up a recipe book for my boys for when they eventually move out of home wiht our family recipes in. (I know that is a long way off, my boys leaving home) I find it hard to get great 'cooking' paper, so I think I will get more so I can start there recipe books and then keep adding recipes through the years

This is another layout using they Chanteuse Coleection. This layout is using my left over paper from my first original one that features a few layouts above, and I also wanted to use my left over embellishments. I try and use up every bit of paper that I have, whether that would be layouts, or off the page or a card. I try and do it straight away, I know if I put my scraps away I tend to not go back and use them, so I have been trying to get into a habit to use them up straight away.
This is one of my favourite photos of my son. He was being really photogenic on the day I took this photo, and then when I saw this paper range from Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills paper range.
I must admit I went a bit nuts. I soooo adore this paper, I love all the colours in it, and love though it has pink in it it was really complimented with alot of blues and greens so it could be used for either sex. I have made my own embellishments on this layout, and used the pattern paper for embellishments and I have used teh journalling card. I had so much doing this layout.

Well that is my Kaisercraft bundle of layouts. Fingers crossed that I get into the Design Team, I am sure they will have a huge amount of applications for there design team, hopefully I may be what they are looking for. I would love to get on there, I am definitely a Kaisercraft junkie, I can't get enough of their products, and I am so addicted to scrapbooking and I wouldn't know what to do with out it in my life. I often wonder what I did with my time before scrapping, but it has been 7 years now and I can't remember what I use to do.

Alphabet Weekends

Here is another layout that i have done. I have made some of the flowers with playing with some scrap paper. I am right into making your own flowers at the moment.

My family has started to do the alphabet weekends. This is where you do something on the weekend starting with the letter A and working your way through the alphabet. We went to the Art museum in Brisbane. Well I was thinking it would be boring and we would look at some weird paintings on the wall and try and figure out what the hell it is and that was it. Well I was so wrong. Art has hit the new ages and wow is it techno now. I was really impressed, they also had so much there to do for the kids. It was amazing, some things are stills strange and my eldest son Donovan did question how some plastic milk bottles with some string over it could be art, and I had to agree but it was a great day. I took heaps of photos, and I am going to be starting up an alphabet album so I can record these things we do. The next one is we are going to go to the Beach for B. hopefully the weather will hold off. Fingers crossed

Another layout

Sorry I have had to take this layout down as it may be getting published in Scrapbooking Memories, I will do another entry with the image once I am allowed to release it.

Here is another layout that I have just done, I got really adventurous and used gutter guard. Love gutterguard, love the effect of it and how it looks on the layout, it is really easy to use as well.

another A2Z Layout

Here is a layout I have just recently done for A2Z Scraplets, I also have put some purple pumpking bits on there. Love Purple Pumpkin, such cute bits and pieces, and sooooo easy to stick on with the flat backs. I am so into dolleys at the moment.
I was up scrapping with Sam (who makes purple pumpkin) when I did this layout. Sam and I discovered scrapping together and have know each other for years and have been really good friends we both would scrap all the time together as we were neighbours. But I moved away and it got a bit harder to scrap, but I find when I go and scrap with her I do some of my best layouts. I think I may need to move closer again!! LOL We always have a ball scrapping together, it is great to catch up on all that has been going on.That to me is what scrapping is all about. Love it.

Can you tell.........

Can you tell I am a bit of a Kaisercraft fan. How define are there papers. I just love there paper ranges out at the moment. I know these papers are not new but they are gorgeous never the less. I have been on a bit of a role at the moment with scrapping. Love it when I am in this sort of mood.
I love this photo of Jordy. He is just so cute with his orange lips. It never ceases to amaze me that kids love food that discolours there lips. They think it is the best thing.

Another layout with Kaiser

Summer Fun layout, Love this paper range, this is the second layout of this range I think this paper is great with the photos of Cody.

Sunday, February 13, 2011

Adore

Here is a layout I have done, love these Cogs from A2Z Scraplets, I have played around with most of them now. Love the bigger ones the most. I can't get enough of them. I love this photo of Cody, I find my kids at this age to be so photo-genic it is just when they get older they seem to be so over getting there photo taken (that probably wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that there mother is slightly obsessed with taking photos) They seem to start wanting to do those bunny ears and pulling photos as they get older. As Cody who is 2 seems so unaware of the camera and I get more natural shots.

Weekend in Sydney

Rodney's work does a summer bash in Feburary each year. So we were flown to Sydney and our motel was the Novatel at Darling Harbour. It was really lovely room. Our view from our Motel room (as shown in the picture below) was spectacular. It was so nice just to hang out. With my hubby Rodney. We haven't had time away for about 9 months. So we were really hanging out for some away time.
Laing O'Rouke have a seminar on the Saturday and have speakers. They had a women who was a team leader in Antartica, she was really interesting to hear her story. They also had the explosive expert that got the miners out from the Tasmania mines. Wow his story was very moving and very touching. He had alot of pressure on him and stress.

Then came the Summer bash dinner. It is nice to be able to get all dressed up. I think this year they did a great job. Jessica Mauboy came and sang a few songs. She was really great. Justice Crew was there, they did some dancing. It was really great

So my weekend was a really lovely weekend. My favourite part though was just being able to spend time with my hubby and chat. I love my boys with all my heart but it is nice to have a conversation with him without being inturrupted every 5 seconds.

Yeah a girl layout

It isn't often I get to use such pretty girl papers with a house hold of boys, but found this photo and had these papers. Love this paper from Imaginisce, how pretty is it!!!!! I have also done another layout with it, exccept I don't have a photo, I want the right sort of photo on it so I will add it later. I love using circles, I am trying to get out of my comfort zone and layer my paper a bit differently when I do use a circle. The art of scrapbooking is a work in progress, and I don't think we ever get there, it is always changing and inspiring us.
