Cherish

Here is one of my layouts that I did on the weekend while scrapping with Sam. I seem to do my best work when I scrap with her. Better scrap more often together I reakon. Mind you I had been playing with this paper for awhile and then took the bullet to do it. Love how it turned out. This is using all Kaiser products except for the bling on the left (that is prima) It is there new pearl and bling flourishes, they are so yummy. I have a few more pages to put up. so keep a look out.

Boyz Rule

Here is a layout I did for A2Z, Loved using these papers, love rustic papers for boys. I find it really hard to get nice boy papers especially once they get out of that little. more baby paper. So I have to grab it when I see it. I also love the Boyz Rule from A2Z, I think it is perfect. I have been doing a bit of scrapping lately, busy, busy, especially leading up to this time of year. Busy doing Christmas shopping as well. I can't believe Christmas is only a month away. Where has this year gone??

Rawr.....

This is the next kit for my classes available. Love this paper from Imaginisce. These photos were taken at the Brisbane science centre where Jordy went on an excursion for school. They have a dinosaur exhibit there. Jordy being his goofy self is acting scared!!!! I thought these papers were perfect for the photo. Had them laying around for ages, just goes to show that the right paper comes up eventually for photos. Just got to hang in there long enough.

In memory of my son, Harrison

My son, Harrison passed away on the 15th September 2010 after living for only 28hours. At the hospital that looked after him, the Mater Mothers hospital, brisbane Australia, I have been scrapping these little cards. As families that have lost a baby sometimes donate bears back in the memory of the baby that they lost. So I have been busy scrapping these cards so they can be pinned to the bears. I went up today to make my first delivery. This is the bear I have donated in memory of my gorgeous little boy Harrison. I hope this bear brings comfort to some other family, and I hope that these cards show that someone out there knows and feels for what they are going through. These cards were made with alot of love. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone to lose there precious baby. I hope they touch someone.

I must be a sucker for punishment

I must be a sucker for punishment, Donovan's birthday is on Christmas eve so each year we let him have a couple of friends over in November for his birthday. Well not really thinking about it organised his friends over the night after Cody's birthday, so this meant we had cake coming out of our ears. I made 2 cakes, so glad there won't be any need for cake making for a little while. I love this photo, can't wait to scrap it. My big boy is turning 12, I can't believe it. Where have the years gone

Birthday time

It was Cody's birthday yesterday, He turned 2. Wow how quick 2 years fly by. Well I made him a tractor cake. I had to rush a little bit with decorating as we did a morning tea with a couple of friends. so we were running out of time. It looked really cute. We made some alterations to it from the book as it wanted us to use all these different type of icings. So I decided to just use butter icing and get the white icing for the windows. Cody had a great day, he loved me baking and loves to get to lick the spoons, so hence the photo with chocolate all over his mouth. He was having a great time. He was very spoilt though with all his presents.

First Sight Layout

Here is my layout that is on the A2Z scraplet blog page, this is when I met my son Harrison for the first time after he was born. I am doing this album up with loads of journalling so that I don't forget anything about my beautiful boys short little life. I find scrapping about him and doing his blog 'Harrison's Story' really good therapy. Also I only have 28 hours of memories so there isn't many but those that I do have I want to make the most of, so here is one of his layouts for his album.

October sketch for A2Z Scraplets

Here is my layout for the A2Z Scraplets sketch for the month of October. I have had this paper lying around for ages, so I was glad to use it up, thought the photo was perfect for the paper. This photo is just so cute. Cody is such a Daddies boy. He loves it when Rodney gets home, they are outside buddies. Cody is this out door child and just loves pottering out in the yard. They both get out and dig in the dirt, and Cody loves mowing the lawn with Rodney, it is so funny to see them cruising around.

My scrapbooking room

We built a new house and moved in about 10 weeks ago, well I finally have my scrapbooking room organised. Well it isn't perfectly neat, but what scrapbooker has a perfectly neat room. I don't know any!!!!! When we built this house one of my sitpulations was that I had to have a great scrapbooking room. If I was going to build I wanted to do it right and be a practical home. Also lets face it scrapbooking you have a lot of bits and pieces lying around and sometimes, well especially when you have kids you need to leave your layout to go do stuff so I have a great space to do that now. Also lots of space for the girls to come and scrap. I even conned my husband letting me have the old tv, (as he got to buy a new huge tv for the family room so I let him do that if I could get the old one) So now it is the perfect room ( just got to find the power cord to go into the tv, to get it to work. Moving!!!!) I will be able to watch Dr Phill why scrapping. Perfect. Now when my girlfriend Sam comes over and scrap, we have a bit of a tradition of watching scarey movies and scrapping, our usually horror flick is Saw. So I am now ready to go.

Here is the layout from the previous sneak peak. I have used all of A2Z Scraplets so if you like jump on there web site www.a2zscraplets.com.au and you can check them out. I really am happy with this layout, I am on a roll with the double layouts, usually hate them but they are working out for me this time. I have had this paper for ages but always thought it was a bit wishy washy but really loved using it. These are Harrison's ultra sound photos

A bit of a sneak peak

Here is a bit of a sneak peak on my ultrasound photos of Harrison. I have done a double layout, I have used some Design Team stuff on it so I have to keep it somewhat hidden but thought I would give you a sneak peak of it. Not usually a fan of the whole double layout but really like how this one has turned out. Can't wait to show you guys.

A girly layout

I love doing girly layouts, we had our class, one of the girls choose some papers which was this Daisy D paper, love it, so I am on such a roll at the moment scrapping that I did this one last night, and stuck it together this morning. Gotta love those butterflies, they are my favourite thing to do at the moment on a layout or card (thanks Sam) This kit is only $11. There is only 6 kits so you girls will have to get in quick for this one.

Butterfly Card

Here is another card that I have made, I got the tutorial on how to make this butterfly from my friend Sams blog, me and my little rascals blog sight. It is so easy and it is soooo cute how it turns out, I like it over a stamp as a stamp is so flat where this gives the card s bit of dimension. I also like it as you can keep your card really simple and have the butterfly as a feature, I have made this card up for my beareavement midwife, as the butterfly is there symbol that they use when you lose a baby they put this symbol on your door so that employees of the hospital know. I hope she likes the card. I did the antennas out of stuff that I was going to throw and had lying around in my scrapbooking stuff for years, just goes to show that stuff always comes in handy eventually.

Thank you cards

I made up these thank you cards, I am really happy with how they turned out. I have done a layout with this paper, which I love, it is Melissa Francis paper, I like her paper but have not really used alot of that range as it is a bit more antique style and you have to have the right photos, but I am doing up an album for my son, Harrison, see his story from his blog. and I want a sort of style album, and saw this paper and it is exactly what I am after, so this paper is the left over from my double layout, which keep your eye out as I will put this layout up soon. I have made these cards for my midwife who looked after me while I was pregnant and the nurse that looked after Harrison. I am really happy how they have turned out. I think they are really pretty and simple. Gotta love those scraps

My angel Harrison

Some of you may not know, but I had a little boy, Harrison last month, he was born on the 14th September 2010. He had Diapraghmatic hernia and we were told he only had 30% chance of surviving. Well my beautiful Harrison lived for 29hours and died at 5.30pm on the 15th September. I have dedicated a blog to him and all the people that helped Harrison from midwifes to docctors and nurses. So feel free and go to Harrison's blog to see his story. I wanted to write this blog so that it would help people love there kids more, and those with sick kids to get through the rough times, and for those who have lost a baby know you aren't alone. Also I hope that maybe one day Harrisons story will help someone with a baby and family with the same road that we travelled. But the most important reason I wrote this blog was so Harrison lives on, and the world can see how beautiful he was. I love you Harrison, my sweet little angel.

October kits

This months kits are here, I am starting up my classes again, the first one will be this wednesday the 20th. This kit is $15.00, but it doesn't included titles, for you girls that come regularly these are the letters we have used in some of the previous kits, if you are out I do have some extras that are available to buy. I have done up these 2 layouts which we will be doing, but this time I have also introduced a girl kit, which we will be doing the exact same layout but with girly papers. As shown in the image below. I have kept these layouts simple for our first day back, also we will be drawing a name out of a hat who will select the next lot of papers for the next kit. Can't wait to see who it is, and what they choose. Look forward to seeing you girls there.

A2Z Scraplets layout

I just love this A2Z scraplet word and flourish, I love the script writing in Cherish, I find it hard to get a nice script writing and I think A2Z does it perfectly. This photo was taken in Feburary, it was at my husbands work function, it was fun getting all dressed up. I also adore this paper range Utopia, kaisercraft. I am doing another layout with this for the A2Z sketch for this month. Loving how it is turning out. Get onto A2Z Scraplets blog for the sketch. It gives great inspiration.

For $16.00 the girls got 3 layouts. This was our last fortnights kits. The next kit will be put up on the blog through the week. I have been busy doing loads of layouts lately and it is so nice to get some layouts done.

50th Wedding Anniversary album

I am currently making a 50th Wedding Anniversary album for my in-laws. Here is one of my layouts that I have done for it. I am really enjoying doing this album.
I was somewhere talking to someone about scrapping this album and I was worried about how much it was going to cost with copying photos and I wasn't sure who does that, this person knew someone who did a photo restoration course and was told to actually take a photo of the old photos, especially if you have a good camera, well I tried it this week and I was really impressed with how the photos turned out, plus then I was able to decide on the size of photos and the other best thing I was able to crop into the photos. I will pop some of the photos on this blog so you guys can get a look at how the photos turned out. I think they turned out pretty good considering they are 50 year old photos

Our Family Class layout

Here is another class kit. We did this one a few weeks ago. The photos don't do it justice as there is alot of dimension to these layouts except you cant tell with the photos. I have been flat out doing kits and starting back with my A2Z scraplets stuff.

This weeks layout

this is this weeks layout for my classes. We had loads of fun today doing the classes. The girls are really excited as I have put out a $5.00 challenge pack. The girls go into the running for $50 worth of products to win.

My next project is I am doing up a 50th wedding anniversary album. I am feeling a little overwhelmed from this as I have to go through, heaps of albums. I think I will try and break the 50 years up into events. So I will get started on that in the next few days.

Keep posted to see what I come up with.

Another layout for A2Z Scraplets

Here is another layout for A2Z Scraplets, it also another layout that I created the title for A2Z. I really love using the titles from A2Z. Also on this layout is the first layout that I entwined flowers together. I saw it done at the retreat that I went to in Feb and really liked it. So I gave it a go. I am really happy with how it turned out, especially as it is the first. I also love doing journalling on my layouts and hiding them, using journalling cards behind my photos that create pockets.
