This Boy just loves Mischief

I did this layout the other day, I really loved how it turned out. I have used the Fancy Pants Transperencies. This paper is one of my most favourite ranges. Cody in these photos were getting into mischief, he was climbing in the bottom of his high chair into the basket and pulling out all the bowls that we store in there. It was really cute.

Seeing Santa

Here is my layout for this year Santa photo. Cody hated Santa and screamed the whole time they were trying to take the photo, poor thing. I had loads of fun doing this layout with the Kaisercraft Christmas paper. I am hoping to get This years Christmas photos done with the rest of the paper. Ihave actually got a chance to do some scrapping which is really nice. I haven't been able to do any for weeks. Hopefully I will get some more done today. Fingers crossed

Mad about Scrapping Christmas Party

On Saturday night I went to the Mad about Scrapping Christmas party. It was a really good night. As part of the Design Team I had to make a make and take. So I made a little accordian book and did a layout to show how you can have it on a layout. I did it on decorating the Christmas tree, I seem to have soooo many photos, which aren't the most fantastic photo so I loved hiding them in the accordian but still have them on the layout. The Christmas party was even better when I won the lucky door prize, yeahhh, lots of scrappin bits and pieces, that never go astray.

Love Class

I did this layout for a class for Mad about Scrapping. I really loved how this turned out. All the chipboard is from A2Z Scraplets. I had so much fun doing this, as I used the large chipboard square it was very different to what I usually do. Though alot of the time when I step out of my comfort zone with scrapping I always like what I come up with, goes to show I should try new things.

More layouts

Here are some more layouts that are Mad about Scrappin's Design team kits. I borrowed Leanne's photos to her daughter Bethany on these layouts, as I don't have girls. It was kind of fun scrapping girls, Hard in another way when you don't know what was behind the event in the photos. I loved using bling, which is sometimes hard to use on boys layouts. I have been scrapping alot lately. Though spare time has been divided between scrapping, and reading Twilight for the second time. I am up to the 3rd book already. I just can't get enough of the twilight series. Well I have just about got Christmas organised and sorted. I have just a couple of presents to get but they are pretty easy. I just have to get all the laybys picked up now.

Mad about Scrapping Card No2 challenge

This is my card for the second card challenge for Mad about Scrapping. It had to be a girly card with flowers. I really enjoyed doing the cards. Some of the cards that entered were gorgeous. I love seeing what people come up with. Some people are very talented.

Bedtime Dreams

This is another layout that I have done for A2Z Scraplets. I have been meaning to do this layout for ages, finally I had the right sort of embellishments to finish it. Love Cody's chubby cheeks. He is sooo cute when he sleeps.

Life Time Memories Layout

I did this layout for A2Z Scraplets new release. I love these papers they are the crape paper. I was really happy with how this layout turned out. I also did do it for the A2Z challenge as well. I took inspiration of the stripes of the quilt and the quilt been turned down. I really enjoyed the challenge, it was so different to others I have done before. I am really looking forward to doing this months challenge.

I've become a Twilight Fan....

Ohhhhh my goodness, everyone kept telling me how great those books were, I looked at them and thought when will I get the chance to read them, I had a bit of a lazy afternoon last weekend, and I thought I would start to read twilight, WELLLLLLL, I haven't been able to put these books down, I am now up to Eclipse and already a quarter of the way through it. I am glad I have read the books before I go see New Moon at the movies. I did watch Twilight before reading the books. I am soooo an Edward fan.

A2ZScraplets Design Team

This is a card I did for A2Z Scrpalets Design team. This made me think alot. But I was happy with the card in the end. A bit different to what I usually do.

Christmas gifts for teachers

I have been busy doing up my kids teachers christmas gifts. I have finally finished both of them. Jordy's teacher I have done a book up and we have had each child do a little picture to go inside. Donovans teacher I am going to do some baking and send her off a scrapped tin with a whole heap of goodies inside. Then she can keep the tin as a keep sake for years to come.

Mad about Scrappin's Card Challenge

Here is my card for the Mad about Scrappin Card Challenge. The challenge is to use a stamp on a card. I love this stamp, I think it is simple and pretty. I also love using the bling in the centre of the flowers, just dresses the card up a bit. One of my favourite things about making cards it gets me using my scraps. I also have started a bit of a card collection, I have bought a container to put my cards in and then when I have an event I can just go to my container and pull out one of my cards and use them. Also cards are just SOOOOO expensive so it is also a bit of a cheap alternative.

You make my heart melt

I did this layout yesterday using the new Fancy pants paper. Love this photo. I am trying to get photos of me and Rodney in them, I tend to take heaps of the kids and not with us in them.

Cody's First Birthday

We had Cody's first birthday party on Saturday. We had it at a park at West End. It was such nice weather. We decided to do breakfast. Cody loved just crawling around the ground. He got some really nice pressies. It was a great day, with great company.

It's a boys life

I did this layout the other day, love how it turned out. I also love the flourish. I joined 2 flourishes together as I find it hard to get a great flourish these days. I also love this photo. Jordy has the cutest, cheekiest smile. I also am determined to use all the papers from a range that I have bought. I am sick of having loads of scraps behind so I am trying to use up everything paper wise.

Monday, October 19, 2009

FINALLY i have scrapped these photos. These were from Jordan's 4th birthday party at Lollipops and i hadn't scrapped them. I find it hard to scrap so many photos. So I decided to keep the layout extremely simple. I really didn't use much pattern paper.

New Bike

I finally finished this layout, I had it done at the end of last week, but just needed to do the title. Jordan for his 6th birthday, which was this year got a new bike. He has another bike that has training wheels on it, this one doesn't, we have done some practice runs on his old bike without training wheels due to it being smaller. He hasn't attempted to ride his new bike. I have had this paper for ages, I was just waiting for the right photos, thought these were perfect.

First Haircut

On the September school holidays I took Cody for his first haircut. He did ok at first but got sick of it pretty quickly. Michelle, our hairdresser cut his cute little curls off but we did keep them. I created a pocket on the page to put his curls in.

Learning to ride my bike

I have had this paper hidden away for ages, and finally got to use it, I am trying to go through some of my old papers and things to use them up. This is my son who is 6 years old learning to ride his bike. He can do it, it is now just practicing, which we have been a bit slack and haven't done. there is a great park at archfield and we go there as it has a big path and basketball area so it is good to learn how to ride. That is one thing I love about scrapbooking you can preserve such precious memories like these.

A2Z Scraplets Design Team

I am so excited, I got into the A2Z Scraplets Design Team. A2Z Scraplets is a chipboard wholesalers. They make the most awesome chipboard. Also they're an Australian company. I am so looking forward to working with them. Check out there website www.a2zscraplets.com.au They are a wholesaler so if you would like to purchase any of there products get onto www.madaboutscrappin.com.au and you can purchase any of the products through, mad about scrappin, also Leanne is really good so if she doesn't have any that you want you can order it through her and she will get it for you.

Rusty Pickle Paper

This is another kit for Mad about Scrappin. I really loved this paper. When Leanne first gave me this paper, I was like mmmmm interesting. I did consider colouring the paper but I don't tend to do alot of black and white photos so I thought it would be nice to combine it and just do black and white. I really love the Brothers page. It is also nice to get paper that goes with older boys. My eldest is 10years old so alot of paper is designed for younger boys, but I find it hard for him. So this paper was great. I used on the brothers page, A2Z scraplets chipboard. Love A2Z scraplets chipboard. Certainly made the layout.

Mad About Scrapping Design Team Kit

These are some layouts I did for Mad about Scrappin's kit. These kits certainly challenge me, I love having loads of paper to use on layouts, Leanne we get only a few sheets so. it makes me think. I don't mind how they turned out, one thing I did discover, after 6 years of scrappin I never realised I like to put journalling on the right so In the just love to Play layout I kept wanting to put the journalling on the right side but there was the picture that i wanted to keep on the paper and if I put it on the right it would hide it. It drove me a little nuts. Things that you go through. I also love the little card I got out of the paper. I have been trying to get cards out of scraps so that I can put them away and then just crab one when one of the kids are invited to a party. Cards are just soooo expensive, I think it is a good trade off to justify spending money on scrapping stuff. LOL!!! Good excuse for me to the hubby!!!

Just love 2 bake

I made cupcakes the other day and I found these really cute sugar animal to go on top. The cupcakes turned out soooo cute, so I decided to take a photo. I love baking. I have been trying to bake once a week. Today I made chocolate slice to my sons pure delight. It is his favourite. I love just baking, I don't find thinking of what I should cook for dinner so much fun. That is a bit boring.

Shell's Scrap Challenge

I went onto Mad about scrappins blog and they have teed up with Shells Scrap challenge and have some challenges that I found intriguing. I am usually not one to do challenges I just like doing my own thing. But found these challenges a bit of fun. You have 8 challenges to choose from and only need to do 4. This is my layout for the numbers challenge, I had to use 1 flower (I know I have more then 1 flower but some of it was the paper) 2 photos, 3 buttons, 4 journalling spots, 5 rhinestones or jems. So this is my layout, I had fun doing it, but found it hard fitting in that many journalling panels, so I used one for my title. The photos have a bit of an eerie back ground, we were silly and decided it would be a good idea to go to the park for a picnic when that big dust storm hit. It was the strangest day. You could see the dust storm coming. The kids had fun, but we did have to cut it short due to the dust storm

Cheeky Little Monsters

ANOTHER layout with the Fancy Pants trick a treat, do you think I love this paper range. MMmmm, I think I only have enough paper for one more layout. Not sure what photos I will use. Just love them, even though they have been Halloween paper I haven't used it yet for Halloween.

Page 2 of Sand Monsters

I really liked these photos so Idecided to continue the Sand Monster page and turn it into a double layout. I have continued using the Fancy Pants trick a treat paper.

Friday fun

Today has been a great day, I haven't had to race out of the house and do a zillion things. So I have been able to scrap some more layouts. I am nearly to the end of the Fancy Pants Halloween range. I have to get some more photos developed. i have started on the baby range and am currently in the middle of a layout. It is turning out really nicely. Hope it stays that way and ends well. Better go and get some more scrappin done.

Crawl Commando

I LOVE this Fancy Pants transperancy, it took me a while to figure out wether I should cut the photo or not. Love how it turned out, I also was desperate to use the Halloween journalling card on the layout, Love how it came together. Can't wait to do the rest of the papers. What a range.

Went to a girlfriends place to do a little scrapping yesterday, I didn't get as much as I would have liked done, busy chasing the kids around but I got this one done. This layout is using the Fancy Pants Halloween range. Still going!!

Wednesday night

I did this layout last night, I am still using the Fancy Pants paper. This layout came together really quickly. Just one of those layouts that fell together I guess. I have used all my scrap bits to on this layout, I love this range so much I don't want to waste a single bit. I have a few more sheets so stay tuned for more layout

Tuesday night scrapping

I have the scrapping bug at the moment and I want to spend most the time scrapping. It has worked out as Rodney has had things to do on the computer once the kids are in bed so I have gotten to scrap. I have some awesome layouts done to, keep a look out they will be uploaded soon

To finish a perfect saturday off ....

To finish Saturday off I did some scrapping in the afternoon, I used the new halloween, trick a treat Fancy pants range. I love this layout. I had loads of fun distressing the paper. This photo was taken in the morning down at the beach. I thought it was perfect for this paper.

Saturday morning family fun

We went down to the beach, gold coast for a saturday morning swim. The weather was perfect and the water was really nice. I thought it was a perfect opportunity for some happy snaps (when do I not think it is a perfect opportunity for happy snaps) I can't wait to scrap this photo. I really don't mind photos of myself now that I have lost all that weight, even a photo in swimmers.

I adore you layout

This is a photo of my baby and me on his naming day. Any opportunity that I have, if I am in a layout I will do a girly layout. Having 3 boys doesn't give me many opportunities to have the pretty flowers and glitter and one of my favourite colours pink. I do love this layout. I actually don't mind the photo of myself. I think that is the hardest when I am in layouts I always am so critical of how I look. Admitedly now that I have lost 28kgs I don't mind photos of myself.

I am in love

I caught up with a friend on friday and she had the new Fancy pants range, they are to die for. There is a gorgeous boy range called Rough and tough. I think it is the nicest range of boys I have seen for a very long time actually I think it is the nicest boy range that I have ever seen. The Halloween range, trick a treat is also gorgeous and we don't really celebrate Halloween but the colours on it were gorgeous so I bought it so that I can do other layouts with it. They also have a baby range. MMMMmmmm yummy. So now I have lots of new goodies to inspire me. I have already done a layout with the Halloween range. I have to wait though to take a photo as I kept getting glare off the photo. I need to wait for daylight. Stay tuned to check out the layout

Riding my Scooter

I love this photo of my son Jordy riding his scooter. I love the colours in the photo. The grass is so nice and green, we must have had rain, rare site these days. This layout is a simple one, but I must admit sometimes simple is more effective. I also have found that when you do to much it can take away from the photo and I didn't want to do this on this layout.

Fancy Pants Range

My goodness these papers are interesting. I found it really hard to match cardstock to the colours and all the papers have very similar colours so they wash into each other. They took me forever playing with them to get them to look ok. The boat on the 'Our little scalliwags' layout I mounted the sails onto cardstock and used mounting tape so that they stand out to the rest of the boat. I then mounted it all on another bit of cardstock so it is one thing I bought the pack of this range so I have a few more layouts to do.

Mad about Scrappin Pack 1/Guest Design team Pack

This was the first Pack that Leanne from Mad about Scrappin gave me. This was my guest Design team pack. When I first got it, the flower pot through me entirely and so did the doily. I really was challenge with these papers and embellishments, but I always find that those packs that challenge me turn out to be my favourite layouts. I was so happy with how these turned out. I thought my photos of My son Jordy were perfect. These are now in my top 10 favourite layouts
